José A. Martínez de Hoz (Argentina)

José combines an almost unique strength: he is recognized by the most prominent publications as a leading lawyer in oil and gas, project finance, and international arbitration and litigation.

José is admitted to practice in Argentina. He was director of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association during 2002-2005 and 2010-2013, and is director of the law review of said association.

He is member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), representing Argentina; the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN); the International Bar Association (IBA); the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB); the ICC Latin American Group of Arbitration; the Spanish Club of Arbitration (CEA); the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA); and the Argentine Committee for National and Transnational Arbitration (CARAT).

He is also listed as arbitrator in the Energy Arbitrator’s List of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR); the Commercial Mediation and Arbitration Center of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CEMARC); the Business Arbitration and Mediation Center (CEMA); and the Arbitration Center of the Bolivian Chamber of Hydrocarbons and Energy (CEAR-CBHE).
