Founding partner of Guevara & Gutiérrez, he has dedicated a considerable part of his career to the practice of commercial and investment arbitration. He worked on various international arbitration cases, including cases conducted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (IACAC) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
He was a member of the drafting commission of several laws, including the former Bolivian law on arbitration and conciliation. He is a registered arbitrator at the Bolivian National Chamber of Commerce and CAINCO. He leads the arbitration practice of Guevara & Gutiérrez, which is acknowledged by Global Arbitration Review as a specialized arbitration practice in its prestigious “GAR 100” list.
